Fangs and worms

Well it's finally happened. Our little Boston is now mobile; however, I wouldn't call what he does crawling, he looks more like a worm. His stomach and legs don't leave the floor. He uses his feet to push himself and his arms to pull. It's pretty cute. He can crawl about as fast as a worm can. I'm sure with time he will get better but for now he is our little worm. He's also growing some fangs. He doesn't have any teeth yet and the first ones about ready to pop through are his two eye teeth. Poor kid.

As you can see from the video he loves his new found freedom. NOT! This video was taken on one of the first days he started crawling so he's still really slow.

We did it!

We had a pretty eventful week this week.

1. Londynn was potty trained. Hooray!!
2. I survived speaking in sacrament.

Pretty big accomplishments if you ask me.

I kissed a girl...

.....and I liked it.  Have any of you heard that song? It has a pretty catchy tune.  I was getting ready today when this song came on the radio and before I knew it Londynn was singing it. Yeah pretty sure I don't want her going around singing "I kissed a girl and I liked it, the taste of her cherry chap stick". I guess it's time I start screening my music.

(You were right Heather, it was only a matter of time before she caught onto this song. Lol)

Girls just wanna have fun!

Last night was another awesome girls night out. It's so much fun to get together and be stupid and laugh together and last night was no exception. Last night was disco bowling night. I'm not much for dressing up (I know, party pooper), but those who did looked great. We went bowling at fat cats and had pizza and breadsticks. About an hour into our bowling we asked if they would turn on the music and turn down the lights. It's amazing what a little music can do to everyone's mood. We all let loose. Thanks Holly for putting it together it was a blast. We'll definitely need to do it again.

Girls, girls, girls.
Hot stuff Steph!
Sistas!
The one and only Holly! Her shirt was hilarious. The lights went out and her bra lit up. It made for a great laugh. This picture she was trying to hide the fact that she glowed.

How do you do it?

How is it that some people just have the nack for keeping their homes spotless all the time? There is nothing I would love more than to have my home look like a model home all the time; however, this will NEVER happen. I like to say it is because of my kids that my house is never clean, but how do those with kids still have a clean house? I'm not the type that likes to clean all day every day and my house shows it. I'm lucky if I can keep up on the dishes and the dreaded laundry, and keeping up on the laundry doesn't include having it folded and put away. We usually end up wearing the clothes out of the laundry basket. Please tell me I'm not the only one.  I always have good intentions of one day cleaning my house top to bottom but my the time I am done with the rooms that are visible I'm beat. When the kids go down for their daily naps I'm not one to stay up and clean things up. I follow them to bed myself. That's how I survive my day. If only I were rich I'd just hire a maid. That would solve all my cleaning problems.

Fun, fun, fun

We had a fun filled 4th of July weekend and our kids are definitely feeling the aftermath of it. The fun started on Thursday with a neighborhood block party. Good food and company and ended with fireworks. I always forget how fun it is to hang out with friends and neighbors and enjoy each others company. Friday was a barbeque, swimming and fireworks at Jared's sisters (sorry no pictures taken at this event). I definitely ate way too much that night. Saturday we spent the day on the lake with some good friends and ended the night with yet another barbeque. yum yum. Sunday was dinner at my parents with yet another good slab of meat prepared by my dad. All in all it was a fun weekend but the long days and late nights sure wore us all out.

Saturday at the lake.
Sunday evening at my parents. Grandpa pulled out the wagon and was pulling them around the backyard.
Thursday evening at the neighborhood bash.
Shanae, Holly and baby "g". Thanks Shanae for a fun evening.

Londynn enjoying the cruise on the boat.
Floating on the tube. This was definitely a highlight of the day.

Curly Sue

Londynn has really fine hair and it doesn't hold ANY curl. I've been wanting to try her hair in curlers for awhile now and finally did it last night. Her hair was definitely curly when I took the curlers out; however, while at the gym they decided to make crowns and when I came to pick her up her hair was basically flat to her ears and with curls only on the bottom. I still think she looks pretty cute with curls.
